Hi. Thanks for being real. You're among friends.
Here's the thing: we can't always trust our mind.
Active psychosis is a serious condition, one that can lead to tragedy if not managed well.
If you are sensing that you should harm yourself, others, or put yourself in dangerous or negligent circumstances, those thoughts are not from God.
The Fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galations 5:22-23).
If you are in crisis take heart, there is much hope.
Take a few deep breaths and orient yourself.
If you believe you or others are in immanent danger, contact a trusted loved one, or your local police department, telling them that you are having a mental health emergency and describing it to them. This will help to protect you later.
Here in California you would call 911 and ask for a Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT).
Most things in life can be sorted out once things calm down. Right now, if it's a matter of life or death, it is worth erring on the side of caution and contacting a loved one or the local authorities instead of trying to navigate this yourself.
If the situation is a little safer than that, then you're on the internet now and can use its resources to help yourself. Local information for your home town can be found by Googling the categories listed in the resource listed below.
Here is a list of helpline resources in America.
You're not alone; there are people who care. We do. Sincerely.
Once this crisis resolves, please check back with us to equip yourself with maps to help you navigate this terrain in the future.
