Master Number Bonds, Times Tables, and More with Hit the Button

hit the button (third-person singular simple present hits the button, present participle hitting the button, simple past and past participle hit the button)

hit the button

I am currently writing an user manual for a software tool, providing step-by-step usage instructions. I am aware that pressing a button is a perfectly fine expression. However, I'm trying to find synonyms for the term.

Hitting the button came to my mind, but this is something I more or less associate with, say, hitting the answer button on a game show. That is to say, a fast, maybe almost violent motion. Is this applicable to the simple (non-violent) clicking of a mouse button?

At times, the virtual actions are paralleled by a related, but different physical action. You may press a mouse button to activate a virtual button on screen. You tap a touch screen or a virtual keyboard key to select, tick, tap, click, hit, press, or check something in the pixel world.

Buttons in Animate (formerly Flash Professional) are symbols that contain four frames. Each frame of a button symbol represents a different state for the button: Up, Over, Down, and Hit. These states determine how a button visually behaves when the mouse is rolled over it or when the user clicks the button. This document explains how to create basic and advanced buttons.

When the Up state of the button is empty or invisible, the button is represented on the Stage by a blue shape. The shape is the equivalent to the content in the next keyframe within the button. This blue shape isn't visible in your final movie.

To create this effect, move the Hit state elements to a different area of the Stage than elements in the Over state of the button. This method works for simple rollover effects. The active area of the button is located in a different area onstage than the rollover effect.

A good way to learn more about buttons and their construction is to study the buttons included as samples with Animate. In version 5, these sample buttons are available from the Windows > Common Libraries > Buttons menu. If you use version 4, you can access these buttons by choosing Libraries > Buttons. For version 2, the libraries of sample buttons are accessible from the Xtras menu.

A panic button is generally a device one presses and activates when one wants to quickly put an extreme measure into action. Pressing the panic button is often reserved for emergency situations as is the case for car alarms, medical alerts, and home burglary systems. Activating these can summon an emergency operator or other authorities depending on the type of panic button used. Panic buttons can also be pressed for much more serious scenarios, even setting a nuclear weapons system into motion for the rapid deployment of powerful bombs and missiles.

Is it true that the person hitting the spin button on a slot machine or deal button in video poker is entitled to any hand pay jackpot? I heard of a case in California where a man had his lady friend hit the spin button for luck. The jackpot hit. She claimed the jackpot was hers. After the tape was reviewed, she was indeed determined to be the winner. She was paid despite the violent objections of her friend. Would this happen in Nevada?

Im having issues i turned my tv on and all of a sudden its talking to me. I hit a button its spelling out the app. Or ill scroll and its talking to me about the app and the time and date etc. I dont like it period. Help please.

When Dwell is the interaction method and you want to select a button twice (i.e.- spelling with a double letter like "cool"), it's easiest to blink after you've selected the button the first time. The MyTobii P10 is designed to only select a button once per dwell, to limit the number of accidental repeats. Another technique is to briefly look away from the button and then return your gaze to that button.

The three board members sat down last week to talk about their love for the sport with the strange language all its own - hog lines and hacks, buttons and bonspiels - and their dogged determination to see their small-town club thrive again.

Since I am the alarm and snooze button for the kids (takes about 2-3 'Are you up yet?' to get them out of bed), I only have luxury of 1 hit. In order to hit snooze average of 3 times, I would have to set my alarm for 4:57 am and my Dad always said only farmers and fishermen wake up

I do not hit the snooze button. I am one of those contemptible people who gets out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off (sometimes before) at 5 AM and goes running. And yes, there are some early worms out as well.

Hit the Button (Touch the red button) is a platform game in which the main objective is to press all the buttons of each level. Each level is a challenge because it has different design ranging from easy levels where you must perform simple jumps and difficult levels with parkour and even the possibility of finding puzzles and riddles.

If the nation hopes to truly reform the education system, it needs to move away from the ideological squabbles of both parties and hit the reset button on the role of secondary institutions in student life. Though they approach the issue differently, both the left and right are actively working to increase the role that federal and state authorities play in the curriculum taught in schools, all in an attempt to standardize educational experiences and impart their desired values.

Remember: Cards do not shoot out every time the button is pressed. This is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you are the one who has to press the button. When you press the button correctly you will hear an audible "ding" to let you know you've done it right.

Or, you can throw down a Special Card, if appropriate (see Special Cards section). If you don't have anything that matches, you must hit the Launcher button. If nothing happens, play moves to the next person.

If this card is turned up at the beginning of play the player to the left of the dealer begins play with a card of the same color, or another Discard All card. If that's not possible, he/she must hit the Launcher button.

When this card is played the player calls a color, then each player (beginning with the person to the discard player's left) must press the Launcher button once. Any cards that shoot out must be added to the player's hand(s) who activated the Launcher.

The player who played the Wild All Hit card does not press the Launcher button). Then play continues as normal. If this card is turned up at the beginning of play, each player (beginning with the person to the dealer's left) must press the Launcher button once.if(typeof ez_ad_units != 'undefined')ez_ad_units.push([[300,250],'ultraboardgames_com-large-leaderboard-2','ezslot_13',117,'0','0']);__ez_fad_position('div-gpt-ad-ultraboardgames_com-large-leaderboard-2-0');

If this card is turned up at the beginning of play, only the player to the dealer's left presses the Launcher button until the Launcher fires. The activating player adds the Launched cards to his/her hand, and play begins with the next player to his/her left.

When you have one card left, you must yell 'UNO' (meaning one) before playing your next to last card. Failure to do this results in your having to hit the Launcher button TWICE. (That is, of course, if you get caught by the other players).

You may not catch a player for failure to say 'UNO' until their second-to-last card touches the Discard pile. Also, you may not catch a player for failure to say UNO after the next player begins their turn. "Beginning a turn" is defined as either playing a card or hitting the Launcher button.

Which brings me to the point I want to make today: our mind is very much like a computer that is programmed by the words that are put into it. Our thoughts affect our emotions and the way we respond to the world around us. We have to learn when and how to hit that delete button.
